The second event of the Bluenose Autosport Club 2015-2016 RallyCross season saw another record 37 entries show up to compete on the gravel of Scotia Speed World in Enfield, Nova Scotia! A wide variety of competitors ran all kinds of vehicles from yard-salved rat rods to newer high horsepower 4WD off road machines. At the end of the day the times were extremely tight with the top 4 cars separated by less than 3 seconds after 4 stages… with 3 of those 4 driving the same car!
Round 2 of the 2015-2016 BAC RallyCross season takes place this Sunday, December 6th at Scotia Speed World! After a record 37 entries for Round 1 (Results here) we hope to see another great turnout for even more sideways rally fun! Come on out!

Three maritime teams (and one adopted team) have returned from an exciting Rallye de Charlevoix! The 11 challenging gravel and tarmac stages tested their driving and equipment with smiles, photos and lots of stories to show for it! As the dust settled our teams did well,
Conrad/Paynter: 15th Overall, 7th in class
Swann/Dine: 23rd Overall, 7th in class
Spalinger/Nadeau: 24th Overall, 8th in class
Whittman/Sleigh: DNF
Unfortunately the VW team of James Whittman and Daphne Sleigh retired due to a mechanical issue on Stage 4 and were unable to continue. Jonathan Conrad/Clarke Paynter and Daniel Spalinger/Ben Nadeau ran consistent stages all day while Malcolm Swann and Tim Dine suffered late day mechanical issues which resulted in a 9 minute late check in to Stage 10, significantly dropping them in the standings.
Detailed scoring from the event can be found on RallyScoring.com.
Congratulations to all the teams on their efforts and thanks for representing our region! You’ve done us proud!
Fresh off their season ending competition at the 2015 BAC Trout Lake RallySprint, three local teams are already off to Clermont, Quebec to compete in the 2015 running of the storied Rallye de Charlevoix. Jonathan Conrad/Clarke Paynter, James Whittman/Daphne Sleigh and Mal Swann/Tim Dine will all put their skills and cars to the test against teams from Quebec, Ontario and beyond! Also competing from New Hampshire and Maine are 2015 Ledwidge Lookoff Rally veterans Dan Spalinger and Ben Nadeau! Good luck to all the teams!
The 2015 Bluenose Autosport Club Trout Lake RallySprint took place this past Sunday in Middleton, Nova Scotia. The Trout Lake RallySprint marks the third and final event in the 2015 Bluenose Autosport Club rally series and the season definitely went out with a roar! Seven teams and cars were on hand to tackle the challenging stages, a new record turnout since performance rally was re-started in 2009! The event marked the return of several competitors including Steve Quigley and Dana Nauss in their 2000 Subaru Impreza STI, Cal Vandaalen’s and his 1998 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS, freshly rebuilt after an off-road incident at the July season opener and Mal Swann with Co-Driver Tim Dine, campaigning Mal’s ex-Tom and Trish McGeer Mazda RX7 which hasn’t been driven on a stage in 21 years! The day went off without any major incidents and was a fitting end to another great season of rally competition! 2016 can’t come soon enough and will showcase more roads and more teams and cars! Rally Rally Rally!
Detailed results will be available soon, overall finishing order was:
Steve Quigley/Dana Nauss
Jonathan Conrad/Clarke Paynter
Mal Swann/Tim Dine
Cal Vandaalen/Bruce McNutt
Ian Pearce/Gordon Sleigh
James Whittman/Daphne Sleigh
Jim Theriault/Wayne Pitts
